Out of Town Patients

Out of town patients are welcome to visit us, and many of our patients are from out of town who decide to have orthopaedic procedures from Dr. Ahluwalia. We have a significant number of patients that travel from other states in the US and the world to receive orthopaedic care from Dr. Ahluwalia.

It's not uncommon for patients to travel in from out of town to treat their orthopedic injuries. Routinely Patients have come to see Dr. Ahluwalia from Northern California, (San Francisco, Fresno, San Jose, Bakersfield, etc) as well as Oregon, Mexico, and even India.

Our Medical offices are located in the beautiful city of Beverly Hills; and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is located in Los Angeles. Whether you decided to arrive from LAX, or BUR,  our office is located about 25 minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)  and about 13 miles, and 30 minutes from the Burbank Airport (BUR) about 21 miles.

For our out of town patients we offer email consultation where our staff will be there every step of the way to assist you by phone or by email to help with stay arrangements.  You will also be able to speak with Dr. Ahluwalia directly to answer any questions or concerns that you may have in regards to your procedure. Our goal is to make your trip comfortable and pleasant, as well as to have a successful surgery.

Pre-operative Medical Workup:

Once we have planned your procedure, we will start your pre-operative laboratory work and medical clearances completed by your doctor or specialist in your hometown. This process may take 2-3 weeks prior to anticipate travel. We will also plan your post operative recovery in advance. We like to take close care of our patients, and will plan to have you stay locally  in Beverly Hills to ensure that you are well and can go home. 

Please take into consideration that when traveling from out of state, you will need to be accompanied by a capable adult who will be there to care for you after the surgery and we are if necessary able to provide information about after care services.

Dr. Ahluwalia will see you the day before your surgery for personal re-evaluation and review your procedure and answer all your questions prior to surgery.
